The Mini and Junior Tennis at Spelthorne Community Tennis Centre is run by one of the top tennis coaching centres in the South-east. Our coaches from Tennis Spelthorne are the perfect partner for both rookie and rising tennis stars.

If you’re looking for a great kid’s tennis class, Tennis Spelthorne’s Mini Tennis courses are the ideal introduction to the exciting world of tennis for children aged between five and ten. If you’re aged between 11 and 16, our trained, super-skilled tennis coaches can help you develop skills to play like a pro, regardless of whether you have some, little or no experience at all.

Our Mini Tennis coaching are tailored to fit each age group, starting with Red (Reception to Year 3), Orange (Year 4 and 5) and Green (Year 6). The court size and type of ball used is adjusted to each age group. This helps children acquire tennis skills at the right pace, providing the perfect platform for them to advance and reach their potential. All of our equipment is modified for children to give them more control and help them really enjoy the game. This includes smaller courts and nets, lower bouncing balls and shorter racquets.

Our junior tennis classes (Year 7 -11) incorporate an exciting combination of coach drills and technical advice – to help improve basic strokes – and for those ready, we offer matchplay where you can exercise your skills in a game situation.

In addition, so you learn at your ideal pace, Tennis Spelthorne run different groups according to individual’s experience, so you will always be matched with players of a similar ability.

We run sessions through the week during term and in the holidays. The classes are really good fun and develop children’s tennis skills! You can book sessions through our app with our monthly plans for each session.

Our junior tennis sessions are open to all school age children, from Reception to Year 11.
The sessions run all year. after school and on Saturday mornings.
Our coaches are dedicated to maximising children’s improvement whilst ensuring the sessions are really dynamic and enjoyable.
With our floodlit all weather courts the programme runs year round irrespective of the weather.
You can take advantage of our frequent player monthly plans.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY TENNIS

SUMMER HOLIDAYS

We want everyone to love tennis, get really good and make it their lifetime sport.

Our junior holiday programme runs in all school holidays and offers fun and dynamic sessions throughout the week.
Enrolment is really flexible, you can sign up for as many individual sessions as you wish on days that suit you.
You can book for the day or for the week.

TENNIS COMPETITIONS

Tennis Spelthorne’s adults, junior and school teams take part in a high volume of county-wide tennis competitions throughout the year.

We currently run five adult teams, including Men’s Doubles, Ladies’ Doubles, and Mixed Doubles, who play throughout Surrey in the Surrey County League.

We also have seven great performing junior tennis teams in the LTA Aegon League who compete in junior tennis competitions and tournaments across Surrey.
